Sustainability & Responsibility

As part of our Culture of Hygiene we are constantly working to deliver highly effective hygiene products for cleaning confidence, whilst making sure our environmental impact per pack is as low as possible.

COMMITTED TO
THE FUTURE

Sustainability is an essential design principle in the development of our products. Product lightweighting, efficient production methods, recyclability and use of recycled materials are at the forefront of our criteria.

We are committed to minimising waste and energy usage, increasing recycling rates and giving back to our planet with every pack, now and for the future.

A GOOD
START

solid progress so far inspires us to continually improve and push forward for change.

AMBITIOUS
TARGETS

challenging ourselves to make a real difference to our environmental impact.

ROBUST
SYSTEMS

carefully monitoring and reporting on every stage of the manufacturing and distribution process.

REDUCING
ENERGY USAGE

In 2020 we reduced the amount of essential energy consumed by our factory by 20%. We aim to improve this by a further 15% per year.

We constantly work to ensure our factory and operations are running at maximum efficiency to continually reduce our essential manufacturing energy requirements.

Our energy suppliers are committed to achieving net zero energy including using more renewable sources such as wind, solar and low carbon nuclear power. Over the years we have developed robust monitoring procedures across our site to continually measure and reduce our energy consumption.

CARBON
OFFSETTING

Our carbon footprint
matters - that's why we
are committed to
offsetting ours to
improve our
environmental impact.
Find Out More

We’ve partnered with MoreTrees and so far in 2021 we have supported projects that are planting trees in some of the most needed communities in Kenya, Madagascar and Haiti.

We aim to plant at least 1,200, offsetting 360 tonnes of carbon, each year as part of these projects.

As a UK manufacturer we help our customers reduce their own carbon footprint. By providing a highly effective service we eliminate the need for importing products that increase both costs and carbon footprints unnecessarily.

RECYCLING
COMMITMENT

Our production and packaging methods currently use up to 76% less plastic than commonly used tubs.

80% of our packaging is recyclable and has been made from recycled plastics.

Our goal is to make all of our pack packaging 100% recyclable by 2023.

Our priority is to provide an effective antibacterial wipe that effectively kills harmful viruses and bacteria including Sars-Cov-2, the virus that causes Covid-19. Current available technologies prevent this effective functionality using biodegradable materials. Our team of experts are continually working to develop more sustainable materials that still meet the stringent requirements for maximum effectiveness. We proactively advocate correct and safe disposal of wipes and clearly label this on every pack.

We are also working hard to increase our own recycling and currently recycle over 50% of our own production waste.

WASTE
REDUCTION

In 2020 we decreased the amount of landfill and incinerated waste per pack by 8% and we’re on track to decrease by a further 8% in 2021. In fact our goal is to continue this annual reduction and by 2026 we aim to have reduced waste per pack by a whopping 40%

We constantly monitor the waste output of our factory to continually maintain and improve our performance.

Our production and packaging methods currently use up to 76% less plastic than commonly used tubs.

Electric
Vehicles

As of 2021, 25% of company vehicles are hybrid and electric. By 2025 all new vehicles bought by the company will be electric or hybrid with vehicle charging points.

We’ve also created initiatives for our teams like bike stations.

We produce all our products in-house, giving us a unique advantage when it comes to managing our energy usage and waste management – we’re not reliant on other factories and production methods, we’re in control
